Oriental Pratincole

You Can't believe, Some of Guide knows better then us even they can sight birds from far. myself experience such moment when i was at Nal Sarovar.
while i was returning from Boating in Nal Sarovar,my guide Akbar had sighted Oriental Pratincole from far distance just with eye n told me sir there were pair of Oriental Partincole.i asked him,where? he saw by finger,even i cant seen them with my eyes n saw them when i focus.click 2 shots. asked him to try lil closure but they fly away.

Marsh Harrier Flying

Velavdar National Park never disappoint you for Harrier,whenever u visit the park.you can sight Marsh Harrier, Montagu's Harrier, Pallid Harrier and if you r lucky then you can also sight Hen Harrier.
all National Park opens after 15th October so i was at Velavdar on 19th October for Harrier.i had sighted Marsh, Pallid n Montagu's Harrier. the problem is you cant came out from your car so you have to manage position for right angle of photography,its good for birds n animals from disturbance by us but sometime we missed the good chance.
during our second round before 12pm,my guide Amit told me for go near very small wetland for Marsh Harrier n we sighted.from car i had clicked this flying shot.

Common Crane Family

Dalmatian Pelican

we reached Nal sarovar around at 2.30pm and we have only 3hours for good light for photography n birds may fly away for their food.Thanks to my guide Akbar who counted hours remaining for sighting of birds at nal sarovar n moved quickly towards winter birds where they sighted.there were 5-6 Dalmatian Pelican n started clicking from far get lil closure but due to less in number they noticed us n moved inside the lake.

Eurasian Wryneck

2nd time due to my ignorance i missed a good shot of Eurasian Wryneck today.its a winter visitor n hard to identify from far.
Today morning i was for birding at area near by Delhi Public School,Vesu around at 8am, mostly for White-eye Buzzard.so i driven for 1 round of area and waited but didn't find any raptors so for time pass took some photos of Shikra, Ashy-crown Sparrow n other birds.after 1hour i decided to go for 2nd round but same result.while i was returning just seen a bird of size about common Babbler n stopped my car n took photo but blurred so little moved towards bird n again clicked so got one good shot.when i saw in cam's display,its not clearly visible coz sun was just cross n above.so decided to go further close but Black Drongo came to this bird n fly away.not gone far but thought why to take a pic of Common Babbler n return.

Red-naped ibis

Credit to this image is my friend Dr.Bhavesh Mengar coz we were at Pariej lake,Anand and find nothing new winter birds so decided to go at different location.while we were walking i seen this ibis n asked him to fame some close shots so himself went towards my car with my son.
frankly speaking ibis n myself played with each other for 10-15min with close distance,i don't know why that bird didn't fly away,just walked here n there.

Indian Thick-knee

Pariej is a good site for bird watchers n photographers during winter.so i was there on 18/10/15 with my family. i had started my journey from surat to pariej around at 5am by driving car n reached there at 8.30am.my friend Dr.Bhavesh Mengar join me there.
after entering to main wetland/lake i had sighted Thick-knee n stopped to click them.i had clicked them with very good distance so got excellent photos.i had clicked Ring Plover,White-eared Bulbul and other birds,will share later.

Yug

You will feel proud when your kid copy your hobby.My prince had just completed 7yrs on this 4th oct and i was so amazed to see hm with my photography tour coz when i was at Vansda National Park for photography on 6th June, he was so bored,irritable and didn't liked photography.but on this trip he was so changed.this photo was taken by me at Nal Sarovar.

i had started my Photo tour from Pariej with Dr.Bhavesh Mengar. when we entered Pariej n stopped at one location for Thick knee,Yug was so excited to take photos but due to past experience my wife told sit in car n dont disturb us during photography.after 30min we reached at one of wetland near temple, this time Yug Force to give camera so i gave my old camera Canon 600D with 55-250 and asked to shoot whatever he likes.even he don't know how to hold camera so i told to hold this way but he refused.n started clicking.see how he hold camera at 1st time.this photo was taken by me at Pariej,Anand.

my 2 days photo tour he had clicked more than 300 photos with Aperture-Priority Mode at F8 n 200 iso.i liked this photo coz he took the flying bird Eurasian Spoonbill.

you can see the settings of camera n af point selection but bird is still focused in frame even after moving the camera.

Albino Blackbuck Female

On 19/10/15,i was on Photography trip with my family at Blackbuck National Park,Velavdar. we reached at 8am n started safari in my own car.my wife was driving n we had driven for one side of park, took photos of Montagu's Harrier Female and Blackbucks. there was a road which divide the park in two side.
after coming to office/entry gate, my guide told to went at other side of park towards wetland for Male Harrier n other birds.after reaching there we didn't got any new bird except Common Teal, so we decide to return and after driving of 1km,sudden we saw this beauty far away.

Black-winged Kite Close up

Since Marsh Harrier was sighted by my frnd Paragbhai, i was went for birding with him on 01/10/15.its around 7.30am and we had seen Black-winged Kite was sited on a electric wire just close to road near Delhi Public School vesu and very carefully i was just little away below to Black-winged Kite. and tool this close up

Red Munia

Watching Red Munia closely is a pleasant experience.After monsoon Male usually seen in sexiest red color.
with my friends, we had located many place of Red Munia but near Delhi Public School,Vesu is the close n clear place for photography.so i was again there for Red Munia on 09/10/15 around at 9am.
This photo was taken handheld.it was very difficult moment coz weight of lens n camera is more than 3kg n lifting with left hand with below avg bicep...for 5-10min continuously n with steady standing position in a bright cloudy day.

Eurasian Marsh Harrier

i am very eager to test my new Canon EOS 7D Mark 2 which i bought on 5th 0ct'15.i had started clicking with my new machine-gun even after 2days of purchase.i didn't got time to upload/share my images due to busy life n my ignorance/laziness.But i wanna Start with my listing bird good photo n i am succeed on 12/10/15.
i was on long drive with my wife after dropping my prince to his school for exam at 12pm,we were exact opposite to Reliance Industries Limited,gate no 2(didn't remember) to Bhatlai village,near Hazira, Surat outskirt.after 1km of drive,seen a raptor was sitting on one cement pole,just close to road.it was a Eurasian Marsh Harrier.took 5-10 photo in single click due to osm speed of my machine-gun.when i see photo in lcd of camera,there was so bright n seen iso was 1600.i changed to 200 n when try to frame it again but i missed coz it started flying n went away.

Red Avadavat

After long long awaiting of this bird, finally succeed to frame it. not a good shot but loved it.credit to my friend Dr.Vijayendra Desai, who find this beauty while we were in running car.
it was a Friday 2nd oct'15.we had decided to go early to flying n close shots of black kites as i had seen few days back. it was 5.30am myself wake up early at this time, remembered my school time, it was 15yrs back,while my mom n me wake up early...still it was very hard to wake up.thank you mom.
after getting fresh n having lovely tea by sweetheart, i went to my frnd's home Vijayendrabhai n then Prasadbhai...around 6.30am we reached at ongc bridge for flying shots, we find only two kite.Then our lucky guy Mr.Paragbhai called to meet for birding trip for Marsh harrier n searching began.
why i tagged Paragbhai as Lucky guy coz whenever he was on birding, he gets amazing close shots of many birds and his many photos was displayed at sony center of piplod.
while we r on the way, i was driving my car...Vijayendrabhai was on beside me on front seat n sudden Red Avadavat was caught on his radar,he asked to stopped the car. sudden we all came out n took shots on the road but we are far away. so Vijayendrabhai find the good location where lil sunlight fall on them n the background was so pleasant.

will again for close n sharp shot..hope i will .
