Montagu's Harrier

Blackbuck National Park,Velavadar is a large grassland in gujarat where Harrier  do rousting.it is the heaven for Harrier lovers.Except Pied Harrier,all Harriers came there between August to March for wintering.They roost on ground and hunts locusts,snakes,lizard,small rodents and birds which help as biological pest control to farm crops,maintains the Eco-system of grassland.mostly i go during 2nd week of October and i was there with my friends on 20/10/16.
The long story line posted in Indian Grey Wolf and we reached there in midnight of 20/10/16.we entered park with guide Sikandar,we had clicked many harriers and other birds till morning safari end.we went for lunch and then took a rest at office then again entered in park for evening safari.i was waiting for a shot of harrier sitting on a fence and got after 3.30pm.

Little Stint

The long story line posted in Indian Grey Wolf and we reached there in midnight of 20/10/16.we entered park with guide Sikandar and clicked Montagu's Harrier, Blackbuck,European Roller and Woolly-necked Stork till 7.30am.we were near a wetland and stopped for waders and clicked 2 shots of this stint.didn't processed as i have click but i was just exploring this folder and seen this image,it has a clear mirror reflection so cudn't stop myself to do post processing it.and here is the result.

Ashy Prinia

Vijayendra Desai msg me at 8.30pm on 3rd July,ready tomorrow to click Spotted Owlet and i was at our location.it was cloudy so thought for bad shots or no shots of owlet but we get 3-4shots.
During birding for Spotted Owlet, we walked for 100+mtr to find other birds and found the Ashy Prinia. sitting on a top of wild babool tree and amazingly we were at eye level of this bird.so background was magic coz distance from this bird and distance from background tree to this bird was same so magic of blurry background created.
its little saturated image but love the green.

Red-naped Ibis

i had a plan to visit Blackbuck National Park,Velavdar with family in October'16.Before i go there talked with my friend Dr.Bhavesh Mengar and 1day before i was at Pariyej Lake.
i was expecting Winter birds but find nothing new in the lake,around at 5pm i asked to return towards my car.after walking of 100+ mtr,i saw a Red-naped Ibis and i asked mengi to frame this bird so pl walked toward car with my son as my son was 7yrs old that time and might disturb this beauty while i frame it.
Giving full Credit of this image to my friend Dr.Bhavesh Mengar coz frankly speaking ibis n myself played with each other for 10-15min with close distance,i don't know why that bird didn't fly away,itself walked here n there.

White Stork

Dr.Pragnesh have a conference on pathology and organized by our batch mate,Dr.Yogesh Mistry at Baroda.Pragnesh told to join him for Pariej Lake as he was not gone there for birding and finally i ended the request of last 7days n i was with him.
we reached aprx 11pm on 18/12/15 n check in. thought for good sleep coz we have to ready by 5.30am to start our journey but Yogesh came at 12am and made lil get together till 2am.even though We left Baroda around at 6.30am. our birding frnd Dr.Bhavesh Mengar join us at near by Sojitra on Anand-Tarapur road.
Mengy told us to go 1st at surrounding area of Pariej Lake for White Stork as he had clicked 7days before. so we entered thru small road for White Stork.after driving of 2-3km he told us to locate for White Stork both side of road in a group of Painted Stork.Pragnesh n myself  were looking for another new bird but Dr.Mengar was looking for White Stork for us. we did so many stops for clicks  after clicking of few birds, we were 5+km inside of main road n Pragnesh was driving his Ciaz, i was siting beside him n Mengar was siting on back,sudden he asked to stop car for looking in group of 5-6 painted stork for White Stork n we got lifer.
sudden we came out n very carefully started approaching towards the White Stork but cudnt got good shot n fly away inside the farm.we walked aprx 1+km inside the farm,luckily we got hide and this time we got good shots.got good this shot.
