Black bellied Tern

<p> <span color="rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)" face="Roboto, Noto, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">it's Long awaited bird since 5 years coz its endangered bird species by IUCN. As common terms in bird photography, not to share location but somehow i find it and reached there. after vigorous search i found it.</span></p><span color="rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87)" face="Roboto, Noto, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">i didn't get good shots when i saw 1st time but again waited to come on river bank, little satisfied. then after 3rd flight i got burst shot and clicked 8 shots, and all are focus then after 15 min again 9 shots. 
Had only one video coz i forgot to shoot videos but much happy to frame it.

As per urgent plan for Hingolgadh,i had talked with my best guide Akbarbhai for White-winged Tern sighting in Nal Sarovar coz i was unable to go there and click it since last 2yrs.Akbar told that there is a 50 % chance coz water level was just 1ft+ and 2-3 White-winged Tern were there.<br />
So on 20/06/17 started my journey towards Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary at 5am from Surat and meet my friends Viru and Abhay at Kamrej cross-road on NH8,they were coming from Bardoli.we reached there at 10.45am and went a location for our mission White-winged Tern started with Akbar, Ashraf & 2 boatman.<br />
we came out from car and feel was like we were put in the pre-hot oven coz AC temperature was at 16 degree C and outside temperature was 42 degree C+.walked for 1+km and again mine condition worsen.(i had skipped last 2yrs trip for this reason coz this tern came during hot climate at Nal Sarovar).Akbar was searching White-winged Tern thru his Binocular and i was thru my camera.After 30min Akbar find it and we went inside the lake thru boat.<br />
it was very hard to go inside due to low water level,they are walking in the lake and pushing our boat from behind.and luck goes down,White-winged Tern fly away coz we were passes from chick of Red-wattled Lapwing & Black-winged Stilt so they started giving alarm call.we tried for flight shot but failed.after 10+min again they came and clicked 5+ flight shots.<br />
<span data-offset-key="d4fk-0-0"><span data-text="true">it was very difficult to find This Tern(just 2-3 were there) out of 100+other terns from the boat and with handheld then focus n click.</span></span> <br />

Whatever your religion but 31st December is celebrated by most of people.1st January is a my mom's birthday,have to travel 120km to drive and my friend had managed a new year evening party.we had enjoyed till 3.30am and take a sleep till 7.30am.<br />
i had plan to visit my birth town's beach in early morning but reach around at 12pm still went as i had sighted Pacific Golden Plover previous year n ignored to click as dint knew the id.the sea water was 1+km inside so chance of getting bird was much less near beach so started walking towards the sea water.after walking of 500-700mtr seen group of Brown-headed Gull and terns,after confirmation of id ignored clicks and sudden unknown bird fly near of me and tried to focus but failed.sit at far distance from me.i was focusing near by of that bird and seen a bird with large red bill.shocked and very carefully approached but it was sandy mud and difficult to walk and i was noticed by this bird.it was a Caspian Tern,and started flying.but managed to click some ground shots n flying shot.<br />

Before My trip to Saurastra,i was at Bilimora(Gujarat) for 2 days.i 
had contacted my 2 birding friend for early morning photography at 
Dharasana wetland near Valsad but they were busy.so around at 7am i was 
at this place.<br />
it was pleasant atmosphere, little cold n sunrise.due 
to low rain fall, water deposit was about to dry but at 2-3 places it 
was there n i had sighted Asian openbill,River Tern, Pond Heron, Grey 
Heron, Western Reef Egret, Cattle Egret, Intermediate Egret, Little 
Egret, Painted Stork etc. didn't find new winter birds so decided to 
frame flying Birds and fish catching shots of river tern as they were very 
active at early morning.<br />
i had find a place which was 25-30mtr 
away frm main coastal highway n sit there.can't express happiness coz it 
was so pleasant to watch 50+ terns flying above water level n sudden 
dive in water to catch a fish.<br />
Took more than 200 photos of fish catching terns n find 20+ photos r in focus n clear.<br />

 a soothing morning after  exhausted driving of 700km from Surat to 
Mandvi,Kutch.we had walked atleast 2km after parking our car at beach 
and feeling romantic sound of ocean,wind with birds.we did crawling for most of photos,it was amazing experience to crawl over sand with sea water and all credit to my friend Dilipsinh Chudasama aka DC.<br />
DC told us to move for terns and we were following them.Pankaj and DC were started crawling as they had sighted Little and Saunders's Tern.we did crawling for 200+mtr for some good shots.in between i had sighted Little Tern 100mtr away from my left hand side and clicked.out of 4 shot this was a 1st shot and liked most so sharing with all of you.<br />

One thing i learn from my experience,never avoid to click any bird even if you r confirm with id.and most of time i ignored to clicking during my birding trip.<br />
i was on family tour on Saurashtra and on 22/11/15 around 8am we check out from our hotel and then went to Triveni sangam then went to Geeta Mandir-Lakshmi Narayan Temple.it was located on Hiran River,i was looking for birds and terns were flying over river.ignored at first but don't when i clicked 2 photos.<br />
yesterday i was looking in my old folders n luckily got this n shocked coz it was Gull-billed Tern.missed good n close shots as they were flying very closely.<br />

River Tern

Yesterday noon thought to frame Flying shots of Tern as they r found at River side. so pack my Bag with water bottle, umbrella as very cloudy weather n thought that the river will full of water but i was wrong coz water level was decreased as i had seen last month.<br />
i had spotted flying River Tern n Little Tern n Started clicking for flying shot.My Camera setting was on Aperture-Priority AE Mode so flying shots comes little blurred at wings coz in Aperture-Priority AE Mode, maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 so changed to manual and set at 1/2000 n ISO was set at 400.<br />
it is little difficult to focus handheld to frame flying bird coz its windy weather n bird is flying on river to find fish so going in any direction.<br />

 was 12th Feb'15 n i was so excited when i bought Tamron 150-600mm.1st 
day it was very difficult to take shots handheld,so next day morning 
again i went at Tapi river and experimenting my self.</span></span></div>

 was framing the flying Common Tern, took 3-4 photos and tired due to 
feel heaviness of lens and moved ahead.luckily i saw that Common Tern 
was sitting on a boat and very carefully started taking shots by going 
close to that tern.</span></span></div>
