One thing i learn from my experience,never avoid to click any bird even if you r confirm with id.and most of time i ignored to clicking during my birding trip.<br />
i was on family tour on Saurashtra and on 22/11/15 around 8am we check out from our hotel and then went to Triveni sangam then went to Geeta Mandir-Lakshmi Narayan Temple.it was located on Hiran River,i was looking for birds and terns were flying over river.ignored at first but don't when i clicked 2 photos.<br />
yesterday i was looking in my old folders n luckily got this n shocked coz it was Gull-billed Tern.missed good n close shots as they were flying very closely.<br />

Yesterday morning around at 9am my frnd prof. Pravinbhai called me to click Alexandrine Parakeet as i had told him 1-2month back.he told me that our friend HOD & Prof Anilbhai had clicked Alexandrine Parakeet n asking to come there,i was on duty so planned to go there next day.<br />
wake up Around 7am n get ready to go at 7.45am.while driving n before reaching PC's home,its a 10min away from my home,i called him to get ready.he told that due to fog we have to wait n there is a open plot which open after 8.30 so we met our PC'S home n PC made a tea for me.<br />
we reached there at 8.20 n called Anilbhai,he came but the open plot gate was still locked so we walked towards the Indian coral tree where Alexandrine Parakeets came.we clicked below the tree n sighted male-female golden Oriole in shadow so images were not up to my mark.the gate is open at 8.45am n we approached from there,now sunlight was OK.<br />
we all get good shots even framed flying shots.<br />

<span>if m not wrong,This beauty was 1st sighted n clicked by Prof. Pravin Patel & Prof. Anil Bhatt in our area of Surat and they had shared on Facebook,so i was very excited to frame but i was unlucky coz whenever i went that area,i didn't sight. </span><br />
<span>One day i had contacted Prof.Pravinbhai on Facebook n ask for location,they told me the area.so on 3rd November'15 i went again there but unable to locate,so i called my friend Vijayendrabhai for location n he guide me the exact area.i was there before n clicked 2-3 types of water birds. but cudn't find phalarope.i moved back to my home as it was very cloudy day n didn't succeed to sight phalarope.</span><br />
<span>i was looking my clicks on pc after transfer to pc, when i zoom one of image of sandpiper,i was shocked coz it was a phalarope. i missed good shots.i went next 1-2day but didn't sighted.</span><br />

We were very excited to travel in cruise for Havelock island.Approx 6am we reached on a jetty of Portblair.as usual i was looking for birds but due to lack of sunlight the activity of birds r very less but i find Pacific Swallow sitting.took shots from different angle.<br />
During this photo shoot of Pacific Swallow,most of people was looking me n little laugh on me as i saw some but i ignored them coz Pacific Swallow is find only on Andaman & Nicobar island.<br />

Saker Falcon Flying Shot

After much awaiting finally i was at LRK aka Little Rann of Kutch on 6th of Feb'16 with Dr.Pragnesh n Viren Desai,i was much late for birding as winter birds specially raptors might went even though i was there for Peregrine Falcon.its a wild ass sanctuary.<br />
Around 3pm we reached at Bhavna resort & Farm after morning session at Nal Sarovar. our guide Becharbhai was ready n we got refreshed n went for birding for evening session,will share those pics later.we had finished our evening session at 7pm n returned at our hotel.took dinner n went for sleep early after recharge of battery of our camera coz we were very tired n have to wake up early.<br />
Get ready around at 5.30am n our guide Becharbhai came n told for took tea.aprox 6am we were on our exclusive safari,it was 12-15 degree cold, i forget to take my jacket n feel freezing sensation while we were on jeep coz our location was 40+km away n we were on speed of 50+.<br />
After drive of 1hr+ Becharbhai stopped at one point n sighted Montague's Harrier,we took shots after 5min again we were on search of raptors.after 30min of drive Becharbhai again stopped n looking in Binocular at one point where he sighted Greater spotted eagle n Imperil Egale.we went there n took record shot.while we approach for closer they fly away. i asked to go towards imperial eagle n game was on....we took shot n try to approach for closure,it fly away.this game continued for 40+min then we stopped chasing imperial eagle n went inside.<br />
while we were going towards perching site of Peregrine Falcon after drive of 10-15min,Virenbhai seen one bird flying n we went towards there,stopped far away n took record shot.Becharbhai came with indian birds n told to show for id n we all got shocked n happy coz its a Saker Falcon.its 2nd visit of Saker Falcon in LRK(as Becharbhai told),at 1st visit no one took photo n 2nd time we sighted.Becharbhai told that we try to get closure but this bird cant give good shot so we tried to approach towards this beauty.Mostly we stop n it fly away.we tried for 6-7times in 1+hr n didin't got good close shot but i got good flying shot from front n side.<br />

Pacific Reef Egret

We had reached Neil island around at 12pm on 23rd January'16. 1st we went old bridge named as hawrah bridge,it is made in british rule time n which is 400+yrs old.then went to our hotel n get refresh n took lunch.<br />
Around at 2pm decided to go for birding on beach side n went with my friend Dr.Jayesh Kanani.Before we reach at beach, hear many bird call n searched to locate but trees are much taller so didnt got good shots of Imperial Pigeon, Hill myna,Plum-headed Parakeet etc. then we reached at beach n decided to walk along sea side area.<br />
Got Brown-backed Needletail,White-bellied Sea eagle but not get good shot coz they are much flying much higher level. then my friend got tired so myself went alone n got Oriental white eye,Collared Kingfisher,Sand Plover.while i was clicking kingfisher sudden seen one egret was flying towards me n cudnt stop myself to frame it.the reason to frame egret is Pacific Reef Egret coz it was only found in Andaman region.due to shadow among 5-6 shot this photo was lil up to my mark.<br />

Mostly i avoid to being dirty but since last year end, i was changed due to photography for taking ground level shots.<br />
On 10th January'16 i was with my Vijayendrabhai,Prasadbhai and Niharbhai as posted in "Orphean Warbler" at Suvali Beach n it was time limited as i have to return around at 11am.we reached Suvali beach around at 10am n we all searching birds.water was far away in sea so we all moved towards water on beach n Vijayendrabhai saw plover,himself n Niharbhai started clicking.also i clicked but i thought,it is a Lesser Sand Plover. Vijayendrabhai told that real beauty of this water birds will came when we take ground level shots. so myself also lying down n started crouching at a distance where i took shots.we all four are away from each other n got osm shots.<br />
after taking shots when Vijayendrabhai shared his photo with name of  Kentish Plover,i am shocked coz i was avoiding to click due to Lesser Sand Plover n get Kentish Plover.<br />

it was 10/01/16,another chilling morning and i wake against my schedule Around 6.15am,n ready for birding at 6.40am. But timing to leave for birding is 6.40 so i was so late.its chilling for me on bike,even though i drive at 60km/h speed n reached my friend Vijayendrabhai's home where another friend Prasadbhai and Niharbhai were waiting for me since 15min.<br />
They all ready with their car n all where asking for go for mine car,finally decided to go in Niharbhai's Nissan Terrano.Vijayendrabhai n myself decided to go at Suvali beach,Surat outskirt fo Eurasian Thick knee as our luckiest person Dr.Divyangbhai sighted,its a 1st sighting of Eurasian Thick kne in our area after 20-30min we reached at one point where more than 50 Black Kite, Black-eared Kite n crows where flying so thought for other raptors n Niharbhai stopped car.due to little fog n low light my self decided to stop clicking but my friends were clicking.sudden i hear a sound of airplane n searching for it for silhouette so i was focusing on sun,even after 1-2min didnt find the plane.later Prasadbhai n we talked about it find its a sound of Turbine of Reliance factory.in between Prasadbhai clicked my Photo,i will share it later.<br />
its 7.40am so i told to move n we turned towards beach.after drive of 15min Prasadbhai asked to stop car so we stopped n he saw a raptor but it was Shikra.we all were ready to click but fly away still we follow the shikra n turned on different road.we all got good shots of shikra n decided to move ahead on this road if we got any new winter bird.<br />
After drive of 5min,Reached at lil up area n decided to return.so Niharbhai turned the car n sudDen again Prasadbhai asked to stop the car,he told to locate in bushes where he saw new bird in our area n its our jackpot.<br />
We all dont know the exact id of the bird bird clicked from car.then one person came on bullet n this bird went inside.we all came out n waited for this bird but didn't got chance to click.<br />

While we were on the way to Ninai waterfall,we stopped somewhere on a low level bridge after exhausted car trekking.it was horrible experience of car trekking,where only one car can pass.if another will come from front side then no one will cross each other,and if lil mistake you been down to hill...will share this story later when i upload a landscape.<br />
after refreshing of 30+min we further on our route and after drive of 30min we reached on a road...yes on a road where you can drive upto 100+km/h.<br />
i reached the speed of 90+ then sudden strike about my friend n when i saw in rear view mirror,unable see the 2nd car so decreased speed to 40km/h.after 2-3min of drive,i saw an  Indian Roller sitting just close to road a small branch n stopped.as i had clicked many shots but this time Indian Roller was at my eye level so started clicking very carefully n got some osm shots.<br />

My birding friend Paragbhai got news that vultures were seen so i went on bike coz i have to go inside the no road area where farms were. i felt very cold  on 24/12/15 even around at 8.30am.after reaching given location,i didn't seen vulture so called the local person but didn't pick my phone.<br />
little disappointed but went near by 15-20km and searched for vultures.after zero result,decided to go my favorite place tena.even didn't find any new birds.while i was driving,seen Common Kingfisher was sitting close to road. i don't know why Common Kingfisher ignored me coz i was passed from hardly 3-4ft away n parked my bike in very hurry.<br />
Take shots from distance n then lying down myself on ground took 3-4 shots.then crawl towards this beauty.i reached at one point where my Tamron 150-600 was unable to focus so get back myself. i took 20+photos n 4videos.then i again crawl back without disturbing and on the engine of bike still this beauty was enjoying there,myself went away. <br />

Yesterday my friend Professor Pravinbhai updated post of Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher at his collage(Navyug science collage, Surat) so i msg him to click this beauty.he invited me for Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher and Black-naped Monarch,he told to come in evening.But me and my other all time birding friend decided to go in morning.<br />
During winter, sunrise is late so we went around at 8.30am but today was cloudy day,even though we went there.we searched this beauty but didn't find.so Vijayendarbhai called another friend Professor Anilbhai coz Pravinbhai was at NSS camp.Anilbhai came from busy schedule to welcome n gave location.it was great moments when we see this beauty in city area.<br />
Light was very low n Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher went away from location so after some time we decided to come in evening n went at Gaviyar Lake for water birds.even there we didn't find not much new species so we return home at 11.30am.<br />
Around 12.30pm i called Pravinbhai for his lens n he told me to come at collage as Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher is now easily visible.so i went again there n took many good n close shots of Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher, even record the video.<br />

Crested Serpent Eagle

After parking of our car,we moved towards Zarwani Waterfall with our guide.we crossed 1st n 2nd crossing of water of waterfall n while we were crossing 3rd cross of waterfall, my Friend Hirenbhai told to locate a bird far away from us, focused on given sight after crossing on very slippery surface n seen on display of my 7D Mark2,it was Crested Serpent Eagle.i was lil disappointed as it was too far from us n now we have to reverse again for get good shot so Hirenbhai told us that this bird will remain there for long time if it is not hungry.so moved towards waterfall.<br />
While we again came to this point of crossing,focused my cam toward this area n luckily Crested Serpent Eagle was there.so we decided to move towards Crested Serpent Eagle to behind of it.Hirenbhai find the way,it was not a road,Hirenbhai was walking on a corner of 45-50degree of small hill.there were so many small to medium sized stones.i was behind Hirenbhai,Virenbhai n his 10yrs old son Ansh were behind to me.Ansh is also a good photographer.we all are walking very carefully coz if we slip, we will fall to 20-25ft.<br />
After reaching 50+ mtr we had taken record shot coz its our 1st sighting. we were still gone closure with caution to didn't notify. we all had took good shots from back of Crested Serpent Eagle.then we decided to moved ahead to take shots from front side but didnt got place so went down towards riverside n take shots of side pose after crossing lil river.<br />

While we were 2-5 km away from Zarwani Waterfall as i had mentioned that stopped my car for Minivet. i saw a very tiny bird jumping on branches of tree from far n thought for Woodpecker.i was right when i clicked 1st shot,it was a Brown-capped Pygmy Woodpecker.<br />
size is just 13cm.<br />
it is very difficult to focus due to its small size n active,even though i took 10+shots.<br />

Small Pratincole

As its name Small Pratincole, sized as 16-19cm n found near water body.its very difficult to sight due to its color.<br />
As i mentioned in my last post, i was on birding at Pariej Lake for White Stork n Small Pratincole. Many Many Thanks to Dr.Bhavesh Mengar,who was with us from 7.30am to 6pm n he work hard to sighting of this tiny bird.<br />
we had took many shots from distance then sit at one place where took good shots with pleasant background,this credit to Dr.Pragnesh.<br />
While we were returning after another frnd Dr.Kaushal join us, seen this beauty was taking water bath n cudn't stop myself to take photos.Took many shots,later i will upld those pics.<br />

White Stork

I went Pariej Lake again on 19/12/15 After so many no for birding trip with my roomie during my MBBS n friend, Dr.Pragnesh.we did get together with another batch mate Dr.Yogesh Mistry till 2am at Baroda,though Pragnesh wake up at 5.30am as he always wake up early on birding day.<br />
We left Baroda around at 6.30am n another frnd Dr.Bhavesh Mengar join us at near by Sojitra on Anand-Tarapur road.<br />
Dr.Mengar told us to go 1st at surrounding area of Pariej Lake for White Stork as he had clicked 7days before. so we entered thru small road for White Stork.after driving of 2-3km he told us to locate for White Stork both side of road in a group of Painted Stork.Pragnesh n myself  were looking for another bird but Dr.Mengar was looking for White Stork for us. after clicking of few birds we were 5+km inside of main road n Pragnesh was driving his Ciaz, i was siting beside him n Mengar was siting on back,sudden he asked to stop car for looking in group of 5-6 painted stork for White Stork n we got lifer.<br />
sudden we came out n very carefully approaching towards the White Stork but cudnt got good shot n fly away inside the farm.we walked aprx 1+km inside n got good this shot.<br />

Black-headed Munia

While you were with your some of birding frnd for birding,its gr8 time.it was around 6.30am n i was with Vijayendra Desai on 11/10/15.it was a one way type dusty road n a single car can run on this road.there are both side greenery of rice farm.we reached there after crossing the unmanned  rail crossing.<br />
there was a little wetland n Vijayendrabhai told me that here we can frame bunting n munia so hide our-self in the grass just close to road.i was little afraid to do as cobra n other poisonous snakes been found in our area. even though i sit at one place n waiting for birds.<br />
within 5minutes i saw group of Black-headed Munia on branch of  lil higher grass n after 1min they landed on ground where little water was on ground.i was trying to frame n sudden one person came towards us n all munias fly away.i  was very angry but what to do.<br />
Waiting of 15-20minute again this group came on ground n took some shots but cant manage good position.<br />

The Lion

We
 were on family trip of Saurastra with my family n my cousin's family.as
 on 24th November we were at Gir National Park for Lion safari.it was 
around 2.30pm n our safari driver picked us from our resort.while we 
were on the way to park,rain showering was started n we all thought for 
full rain but finally it stops.Around 3.15pm we had entered in 
the park.during safari our guide told us some info n rules.I had told him for birding.<br />
after 
5mins we saw a monitor lizard, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer. after 
drive of 30-40min our gypsy sudden stopped n guide shows the spotted 
owlet,it was just 10-15ft away from us.due to other gypsy came we moved ahead.<br />
After 1+hr of drive we 
didn't seen a lion/lioness,most of returning gypsy driver had told us 
that they had not seen a lion/lioness.so we r lil disappointed but 
finger crossed for our kids.<br />
Another 5-10mins of drive i saw a leopard n asked to stop the gypsy but while we stop leopard walked inside,it was 40-45ft away.its a
 1st wow moment.our guide also told us that u r lucky to see.<br />
We 
all were talking n our guide told to stop talking as he seen the other gypsy r 
stopped at a point n our guide shows us 2 Lions...yeah...1st time i saw 
them in jungle.<br />

You Can't believe, Some of Guide knows better then us even they can sight birds from far. myself experience such moment when i was at Nal Sarovar.<br />
while i was returning from Boating in Nal Sarovar,my guide Akbar had sighted Oriental Pratincole from far distance just with eye n told me sir there were pair of Oriental Partincole.i asked him,where? he saw by finger,even i cant seen them with my eyes n saw them when i focus.click 2 shots. asked him to try lil closure but they fly away.<br />
