i was on a Family vacation at Sri Lanka with my Friend Dr.Pragnesh in mid May'18.for birding its a odd season due to heavy rain.even though we had plan to go Sinharaja National Park on 19th May'18.<br />
we were stayed at Earl's Reef Beruwala,wake up at 3.15am and get ready within 15min.went at reception,surprisingly receptionist made a ready packed breakfast for us and our cab Driver Mr.Albert Christo was waiting for us.<br />
Without delay we were on the way towards our destination.it was a journey of 3hrs.i thought for sleep but didn't because i was little afraid because its an unknown country and with unknown person at odd time drive.<br />
Even though we both doctor are unable to speak English well and our cab driver was speaking english very fluently though we chat with each other.after drive of 1 hr our cab was stopped by Sri Lankan Police,now my heartbeat were increased even though we hv all document coz it was dark area.good thing was everything handled by our cab driver and policeman didn't ask anything to us.<br />
Our target was to reach by 6am at entrance of Sinharaja National Park and i asked to my cab driver to stop for a coffee break but on whole way we didn't see a opened dhaba/shop/restaurant for break.Around 5am we saw a shop n drink a hot coffe,it was of great taste made by a old man and we thanked him.<br />
After drive of 1hr,we reached around at 6.15am,a guide named Ratnasiri came to us and talked for everything.there was a system that each guide has a turn to go with guest so no other person talk with us.i paid entry fee and bought a pair of foot cover to safe us from blood leeches/blood sucker.<br />
we started walking with our guide for birding.it was rainforest so it was not a easy task for photography even we experienced  badly for 3 endemic species,we failed to frame average shot of them.<br />
After walking of 500+meter, hill area started and there was no wind.apat from 15 degree Celsius temperature i was wet.we clicked <a href="https://www.yugworld.net/2018/06/sri-lankan-junglefowl.html" target="_blank">Sri Lankan Junglefowl</a>, Malabar Trogon,Sri Lankan Hill Myna etc bird and our guide told for Sri Lankan Frogmouth. Guide went 4-5 different place but he didnt find this beauty so we went further inside of Jungle.<br />
Now Turn for Spot-winged Thrush.we walked down of hill after walking by bending our selves,walking thru water.guide searched it 2-3 location but he failed and after hard work of 30+min he hear a call and further we walked inside and spotted.<br />
i clickedthis beauty at 2000 iso but it was total black because sun light was unable reach there and set iso 5000 still result was not good and set at 10k iso and clicked this shot.i know about noise grain but i have no option and happy to frame this tough endemic beauty during odd season. <br />

i love to frame waterfall.During our family trip of Sri Lanka in May'18,seen many waterfall but mostly from running our bus and main problem was bus was AC and window was unable to slide so its a bad planning of trip.even though tried to frame scenery in my S9.<br />
During traveling to Nuwara Eliya,we were passing thru mountains and also there was rain.road was not wider and rule of not stopping vehicles without genuine reason we didn't stopped,so asked our guide to slow down vehicle to enjoy beauty.<br />
<span data-offset-key="9ceu5-0-0"><span data-text="true">Mostly i had captured video during whole trip but at one place tried to take photo of water fall and due to rain drops on Glass of Window,mobile didn't focus waterfall but got extra ordinary frame.</span></span><br />

Before Going This beautiful Country named 'Wonder of Asia"  Sri Lanka, many of my friend told me to click Sri Lankan Frogmouth and have wish list of some birds in my mind.so long story Posted in <a href="https://www.yugworld.net/2018/05/sri-lankan-junglefowl-mobile-click.html#.W1ndbrh9iM8" target="_blank">Sri lankan junglefowl(Mobile Click)</a>. it was very difficult for me till first 1hr coz we had walked towards hill area and humidity was very high so became wet with perspiration then our guide went for all locations for this beauty but failed.<br />
myself and Dr.Pragnesh had decided to stay till evening but our guide told that,heavy rain will come in noon so we had decided to return before 12pm so we had started walking to back around at 10.30am.again guide went 2-3 locations but sighted at last location.it was very difficult perch coz we have to walk down very carefully over wet land and if we slip then slide down upto 20ft.. finally we managed without disturbing this sleeping pair.<br />
after clicking record shot,we were unable to frame them clearly coz we can't take from going at other side but i find the way and got this shot from a space between leaf and branches.<br />

As Sri Lankan Junglefowl was wish list and long story posted in my article <a href="http://www.yugworld.net/2018/05/sri-lankan-junglefowl-mobile-click.html#.WxjNNyC-mM8">Sri Lankan Junglefowl (Mobile Click)</a> . we entered in Sinharaja.After Trekking 1+km and we were walking on plain area and sudden hear a call of wish list bird,i asked our guide and he told us,we have to cross river.we told no problem.<br />
at 1st we reached near lil river type body and small stones were in there.1st thought to shoot video in mobile but left idea coz have step carefully on stone.after crossing,we have to climb and it was 6ft + but we managed it by climb with holding the roots of large tree,we were wet by perspiration.This small River is a border of Rain Forest.We were on the walk way toward lodge and its Martin's Lodge  and we saw Junglefowl but didn't got good shot.guide told to walk ahead and you must take a good shot at one farmer's backyard.<br />
We walked for more and i was so happy to see it very closely,then took many photos but as i was very close and limitation of my lens,unable to frame whole Junglefowl.sharing extreme close up.<br />

The Lighthouse island

After partially wet during Madu River Safari due to rain,we returned to our Hotel Earl's Reef,Beruwala.we get fresh and in our room and enjoyed delicious dinner.i sleep early due to i have to Sinharaja Rain Forest in mid night(3.30am).<br />
Got many new and endemic species from Sinharaja till noon,as i had decided to do whole day birding but much exhausted and there been 100% chances of rain in afternoon so returned from there to our hotel and reached around at 4pm.get fresh and decided to go at beach side withought DSLR but took it and enjoying beautiful scenery of evening from wooden bench.The orange-red-yellow colors are making painting over sky and purple colors started to appear.<br />
i saw a small boat going towards one small island where lighthouse was there and my mind thought for a frame of lighthouse.set dslr on bench and started experimenting and after 2 shot got desired shot. it was around 6.30pm<br />
