Many friends from my birding group had visited Khajod, near 
Surat,Gujarat.we called them LRK of Surat coz many raptors sighted 
there due to dumping site of solid waste from surat city. i had a wish to go there but didn't get chance since long time.one 
day my friend Parag Kuberkar told me to go there and a day finalized for 
26/2/16.<br />
Around 7am,wake up and got ready to go but it was very foggy 
morning so i called Paragbhai and told for delay.Around 8am i had Started driving in 
foggy morning at speed of 5-10km,finally i had reached at our meeting point around 
at 8.40am,Parked my car and went on Activa of Paragbhai.he told me to go for 
just see location as too much fog,so we went there but didn't sighted any 
bird.even if we sighted then photo must be not up to my mark.<br />
after 30-40min of driving we returned and went to 
Paragbhai's home,we have a coffee and talked regarding photoshop,camera setting which i know.<br />
Around 10.30am i 
left from there to return my home coz Paragbhai have to go office,while i reached at my car, thought to go again at dumping site but at first i went at Khajod water tank area,during driving there was lil
 fog but when i reached there the visibility increased to 60%. clicked 
some photos near ground area for testing n time pass. at 11am as sunlight was enough so entered in dumping site.after 
drive of 2km inside the area,i saw an indian Roller sitting just close 
to road n cudn't stop myself to click it.here is result<br />

Taken leave on 14/09/15 so around 8am went for birding. till 10am 
didn't get good photos so decided to 
return home around at 10.30am.<br />
i was Driving slowly to see any activity beside the 
roads for any new winter bird.
sudden i saw an Indian Roller sitting on a electric wire, i just avoid it but
 thought that the electric wire was not much at high level coz road was lil
 higher level from ground so reversed my car and parked very carefully.thought that 
Indian Roller will fly away so i set my af point to all and started approaching very carefully
with  focused to get closure shot but i was noticed and it fly away but i was 
ready for flying shot and clicked 4-5 shots.i was very happy coz out of  5 shots, in 3 shots Indian Roller was in the frame with enough sharpness.<br />
so here is my favorite shots with good frame as i had posted this bird with closure look.<br />

As i had posted yesterday,i was on long drive with my wife n my new camera Canon 7D Mark2 on Hazira road after dropping my prince to his school for exam at 12pm on 12/10/15.<br />
Didn't remember the exact location but i made u-turn n thought to return.after drive of 1+km,saw a Indian Roller was siting on a light pole.from a distance,focused and a click,i was amazed coz it has a kill n again focus to frame while it toss its catch.luckily got one shot.<br />

i like Monsoon season for photography due to greenery everywhere but cloudy weather give dull color n sometimes background worsen the image.<br />
usually i prefer morning time for birding but on 6th September'15 i was on morning shift n went around at 3pm on my favorite route for birding.<br />
Sighted many birds n around at 5pm on the way to home.sudden stop my car n went reverse on the road coz,European Roller was siting on a Electric wire n just close to road,even road was lil higher so thought for good shot.parked my car lil away from it n came out.very carefully approached towards it n got this shot.<br />
this shot been even better if background color is other than white,even i don't know how to change it.<br />

While we were on the way to Ninai waterfall,we stopped somewhere on a low level bridge after exhausted car trekking.it was horrible experience of car trekking,where only one car can pass.if another will come from front side then no one will cross each other,and if lil mistake you been down to hill...will share this story later when i upload a landscape.<br />
after refreshing of 30+min we further on our route and after drive of 30min we reached on a road...yes on a road where you can drive upto 100+km/h.<br />
i reached the speed of 90+ then sudden strike about my friend n when i saw in rear view mirror,unable see the 2nd car so decreased speed to 40km/h.after 2-3min of drive,i saw an  Indian Roller sitting just close to road a small branch n stopped.as i had clicked many shots but this time Indian Roller was at my eye level so started clicking very carefully n got some osm shots.<br />

While i was at Idar on 6th Sept'15 for a Medico legal case, i was on way to Ambaji around at 5pm. after 5-6km away from Idar, i saw this beauty sit on a wire so stopped my car n reversed for taking good frame.<br />
taken pics from car coz its 1st time for me to click this bird then came out n crossed the road away from it n started clicking with slowly going towards the European Roller.finally got good close shot but background was light blue n bird color same, not looks good in this frame.<br />

Indian Roller

Indian Roller looks very beautiful when it fly. its in my dream catch list so whenever i see this bird waited and waited to catch this beauty while it fly.<br />
taken many photos but most are shaky but i know one day i will improve photography skill and will catch it and that day came.<br />
i was searching birds as usual at speed of 5km in my car on road to Dandi,Surat.when i was aprx 2km away from that village i saw the Indian Roller and came out of my car.time was around 4pm and road is clear so i stand for photography without tripod,with taking photos going closer and closure,roller noticed my movement and it fly away taken some burst shots and i was lucky only 2 shots are focused but one is superb and i am sharing with you.<br />
