Some of Birds are in Wishlist of most birders,as Sirkeer Malkoha is in my wishlist since i started photography.it is very shy bird and live in bushes so you can't find in open perch usually.
one of my friend Shaileshbhai posted photos of Sirkeer Malkoha on facebook on 21/06/17 so i message him and he gave a contact of  Memud Bhai Nalsarovar for 100% sighting.
i contacted Memudbhai on 22/06/17 but i was just came from long trip for indian pitta and again go for birding for 400km is bit difficult due to my job but somehow i managed and made a plan to go on 28/06/17.
There is a heavy rain forecast thought Gujarat for 27/06/17 onward so lil confused for trip but whatever will see there and made a confirm plan.Started driving car around at 1.30am from Surat for Bardoli to pick my best buddy Viru and reached at 2.15am.we had expected to reach by 6.30am but due to rain till Nal Sarovar,we reached at 7am and then meet our guide Memudbhai & Ramzanbhai.we were lucky coz there was no rain there.
After drive of 20+km towards Vadla wetland,we reached there around at 7.30am.Parked our Car.and walked at place where Sirkeer Malkoha was sighted.our guide told us,Sirkeer Malkoha was regularly sighted by his father Kasambhai(since 15yrs),as he is oldest guide at Nal Sarovar.
we had walked in the farm for 500+mtr,wishing for clear sun but sun was playing hide n seek in clouds and as expected, our guide sighted it and show us from far.i was much happy to see it coz its my 1st sighting of this bird.took record shot from distance then approached closure.there were 2 chicks so adult came with kill to feed their chicks.enjoyed watching it.
After 15min our friend Shaileshbhai also join us as he came from Ahmadabad.we all enjoyed its presence and clicked so many shots.
here is one of best shot of Sirkeer Malkoha.
